Aharon B. Kaslow
Associate
Aharon B. Kaslow specializes in complex commercial litigation. He is experienced in a variety of matters including international and domestic business disputes, as well as employment litigation. Prior to joining Bird Marella, Aharon clerked for the Honorable Alex Kozinski in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Aharon is a lineal descendant of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians and is deeply knowledgeable in Native American affairs. He has served as Co-President for the Native American Law Student Association at Harvard Law School, the President of the Native American Pre-Law Society at Stanford University, and as an intern for the Navajo Nation Department of Justice in Arizona.
Alexis A. Wiseley
Associate
Alexis A. Wiseley possesses a wide range of experience in corporate and complex commercial litigation matters. Her experience includes representing corporations, directors, officers, controlling stockholders and advisers in merger and acquisition-related litigation, contract disputes, federal securities litigation, and other stockholder disputes in state and federal court. Alexis earned her J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law. Additionally, she served as a Student Attorney for the university’s Civil Practice Clinic, and as an Arthur Littleton & H. Clayton Louderback Legal Writing Instructor.
Alexander H. Tran
Associate
Alexander H. Tran specializes in white collar defense and complex civil litigation matters. He is experienced in representing corporations and financial institutions in securities litigation, mergers and acquisitions-related litigation, multi-state products liability class actions, and general commercial civil litigation. He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kiyo A. Matsumoto of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable Denny Chin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Alexander earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School with public interest honors.
Barr Benyamin
Associate
Barr Benyamin specializes in complex commercial disputes and white collar defense and investigations. He is experienced in advising multinational companies on cutting-edge international matters involving issues of data privacy, intermediary liability, intellectual property, and consumer protection. In the criminal defense realm, Barr has represented clients in a wide variety of matters and investigations involving trade secrets theft, False Claims Act (FCA) violations, embezzlement, and securities fraud. Barr is fluent in Hebrew and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where he was a member of the Appellate Litigation Clinic.
Jong-min Choi
Associate
Jong-min Choi’s practice spans a variety of commercial litigation matters, including intellectual
property and corporate fiduciary duty disputes, with industry expertise in the areas
of cross-border disputes, entertainment, and health care. Prior to law school, Jong-min had a military career in South Korea for six years, including as a South Korean Army officer serving in the Joint Chiefs of Staff headquarters. During his military service, he earned the Army Intelligence School Commandant’s Medal and the Joint Staff Chief Director’s Distinction, in addition to being selected as a member of the South Korean military delegation to Washington D.C. Jong-min has native-level fluency in Korean.
Nick Purcell
Associate
Nick Purcell represents clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. He has significant trial experience, having achieved a complete victory for one of his clients in a two-week bench
trial, and has handled multiple investigations involving congressional testimony. Nick earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as an editor for the Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law and the Harvard Human Rights Journal. He clerked for The Honorable Stephen V. Wilson of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
